Horseback Trail Rides:

We have over 35 horses to choose from. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced rider, you’ll find our stock is the best around. Our professional guides and instructors will match you to the right horse based on your level of experience. Our trail rides can range from two-hour, three-hour, and half-day trips or you can enjoy a full day on horseback. You’ll leave from the corrals on the ranch and ride the multitude of trails that encompass the property, or you can ride into the Bitterroot National Forest and see some of the most beautiful country Montana has to offer. Pack your lunch and enjoy the day, and don't forget your camera. We here at Wildlife Adventures Guest Ranch know that our livestock will be the highlight of your stay. We have such a wide variety of horses to choose from. You may even end up with one of our ten Mustangs to ride. All are very gentle and have been used for our youth programs. Ride a piece of history! Take pictures and show them off to your friends and relatives back home. All guests on horseback must be accompanied by an instructor or guide. We do not allow guests to go out on the trails by themselves.

For kids who have a desire to ride a horse, we can have one of our instructors give lessons during your stay. The lessons will be conducted in our corrals with very gentle horses. Our instructors will evaluate your riding ability. Once you have completed the instruction our instructors can give the okay for a trail ride on our trails. We caution parents of the danger in riding the trails with children who are under the age of six. Children twelve and under are required to wear a riding helmet.
Summer Youth Horsemanship Camps

Summer Youth Horsemanship Camps:

This is the tenth year we have offered this program for youth to experience quality horsemanship classes. We offer both Basic Horsemanship and Advanced Horsemanship. Our camp schedules offer five-day packages for basic horsemanship I and II and a seven-day for our advanced horsemanship camp. Our professional instructors are seasoned in teaching skills on western pleasure horsemanship. The campers experience includes a variety of other activities for the kids to enjoy besides the full day's of horsemanship. Some of the other activities offered are educationally based and include: horse packing demonstrations, equine speakers and nightly bonfires. The campers will experience daily trail rides or arena rides (depending on the child’s level of experience). A limit of no more than 12 youth are allowed in a session. Pick-up service to and from the Missoula Airport is available for a fee. This is a service offered for the campers.

Your child’s stay will be in the bunkhouse with Montana built log bunk beds. Located on the ranch next to the Lodge.

Reservations with a 50% deposit is required to secure a spot in a camp. Remember there are only 12 spots available per session so please do not wait to reserve. All deposits are non-refundable.
