FlyFishing & Float Trips: - Fly Fishing Prices

Any spring, summer or fall trip to the Bitterroot Valley would be incomplete without a fishing trip on one of our blue-ribbon streams or rivers. Many of our dedicated anglers come here specifically for that very reason. Dry-fly fishing in our pristine area reigns supreme and most find no better way to "get away from it all" and get back to the reality that is nature's remedy. Re-connect yourself with "Mother Nature" with your feet placed on a submerged gravel bar and your hand directing your favorite 5-weight rod. Time your casting with the rhythm of the flowing river. Imagine yourself becoming a part of your surroundings, that is until a large Cutthroat trout demands your immediate attention with a splashy rise on your #14 PMD. "Fish on" means worries off. Come Join us. We do this everyday!

Our Rivers

We are privileged to call the Bitterroot our home river. Meandering through the beautiful Bitterroot valley, it offers majestic views that have to be seen to be described. It supplies a variety of fishing opportunities. From the awesome, free-stone vertical drop of the West Fork, to the dark blue riffles and pools of the Darby and Hamilton area to the slower, deep runs of the mid river. The Bitterroot has over 100 total miles of fishing excitement and provides excellent dry-fly fishing most of the season. From the kick -off Skwalla Stonefly hatch in the Spring to Baetis and Trico hatches deep into the fall, the Bitterroot is ready to tempt your efforts and test your skills. We are also ready to host your adventure and keep you updated on the latest hatches, weather and river conditions.

Just down the road a ways, is the famed Clark Fork River. Before it heads west and joins the Columbia, it leaves an inviting snakelike trail through Montana. This river is home to big Rainbows. From midsummer on it produces classic evening hatches. Bring your caddis flies and make sure your windshield wipers are working. Later in the fall, it really turns on. The blue-winged olive and Trico hatches demand your attention in the classic foamlines and the big 'bows will test your light tippets. The upper section (above Missoula) is more intimately braided and stream-like. Home to big Browns and Cutthroats as well, we suggest that you bring your net. Enough said. Oh, by the way, we'd like to keep this jewel a secret, OK? - Fly Fishing Prices

Our Guides:

At Wildlife Adventure's we provide you with the most experienced and professional guides. Each one has many years of experience on our blue-ribbon streams and is familiar with the seasonal hatches you can expect each day and excellent oarsmen. Each one can offer great insight on the experience and offer tips such as fly patterns for the day (usually his own, hand-tied) or effective methods. Our staff of experienced guides are also happy to offer casting and fly-fishing instruction for beginners or seasoned veterans alike. We stand behind our guides. We are proud to call them friends. All of our guides are dedicated to preserving our wild, natural resources and practice and promote catch and release fishing.

What to Expect:

In addition, your friendly guide will provide you with hearty lunches on a full day-trip and snacks and beverages on your half-day float. There may be things that we don't have control over (weather, river level, daily hatches, etc.) but we can assure you that you will have the best lunch that is offered on the river! We pride ourselves on offering a variety of freshly prepared cuisine to please your appetite.

Your guide can also provide you with the finest fishing tackle, if needed. We use the best equipment and boats to do the job with your safety and comfort in mind. We want to make your experience "worry free".

Do bring along your camera and don't be afraid to look around once in awhile and take in the scenery. The Bitterroot Valley is quite enchanting and we are proud to call it home.
